The Princess of Wales is getting ready for the festive season, today stepping out in a delightfully Christmassy red bow cape for her latest royal duties.
Kate – joined by her husband Prince William, as well as in-laws King Charles III and Queen Camilla – attended a special welcome ceremony for President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee of South Korea, at London’s Horse Guards Parade.
For such a special occasion, the princess welcomed the upcoming festive season in a bright red cape dress by Catherine Walker, featuring a large red bow on its neckline. She added to her statement look, by wearing the same apple-red hue head-to-toe; Kate accessorised with suede Gianvito Rossi heels, a wide-brimmed Jane Taylor hat, and a Miu Miu clutch bag.
Beauty-wise, the Princess of Wales opted for an elegant chignon up-do, which worked perfectly with the shape of her hat. Instead of her usual subtle make-up look, Kate opted for a dark brown smoky eye and berry lip, perfect for this time of year.
Royal fans will recognise her special jewellery choice, as Kate finished her look with two items previously belonging to Princess Diana: her sapphire and diamond engagement ring to Prince William (it was voted the most-wanted celebrity ring back in 2020) and matching sapphire and diamond drop earrings. William also got in the festive spirit, by matching his wife’s ensemble with a red tie as part of his smart navy trouser suit.
