Margaret Josephs has spent years transforming her house, and as she put it in a 2021 interview with BravoTV.com, “A renovation like this is not for the faint of heart.”
After finishing her kitchen, ballroom, and outdoor kitchen, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member told BravoTV.com in the 2021 interview that she was “thrilled” to start redoing the rest of the house, including the primary bedroom and bathroom. Two years later, that bathroom is just about done, and from the looks of it, it was worth the wait.
Margaret Josephs shows her newly renovated bathroom
In a July 19 Instagram Story video, Margaret shared that the bathroom is “finally a hair away from being done.” As her clip showed, the room has “beautiful slabs from Daltile,” a vanity with two sinks, and a wide mirror. The marble room has several brass fixtures and appliances, including the showerhead, sink faucets, bulb lighting on the mirror, and what appears to be a mounted towel warmer.
Although the bathroom looks stunning, it’s not totally done yet. “I’m just waiting for some handles,” she said in the clip. “Look at what I have to use for a handle on my shower door right now: a sock.”
“’Cause I don’t want to damage the glass,” she explained as she demonstrated using a sock to open and close the shower door. “The hole is done. I think it’s pretty genius.” With a laugh, she quipped, “I mean isn’t that what you put on a door handle when you’re having sex? So I put a sock on the shower door.”
Margaret Josephs’ Backyard Renovation
Although Margaret debuted her stunning new outdoor kitchen in 2021, her backyard is still a work in progress.
During a text Q&A session with Bravo fans in March, Margaret wrote, “We are doing a huge pool right now, and we’re doing a ton of landscaping!”
The pool will be an incredible addition to the backyard, which is already an amazing entertaining space thanks to the outdoor kitchen that was done in 2021. “It was important for me to bring the inside out… I wanted it to look almost like a living room,” Margaret told BravoTV.com at the time. “I want people to feel comfortable and sit outside. That’s really why I wanted the outdoor kitchen right outside the dining room and my kitchen.”
While we wait to see the finished backyard, check out the video above to take a tour of Margaret’s home before the renovations.
